History of creation

The idea of creating BROVI cartridges emerged after negotiations with VBI, namely Vlad Blad, in March 2020. That was the first time we discussed the KOMETA prototype in our office. Vlad advised us to take into account some features of the future machine before starting to design cartridges.

Besides, that is when we realized that there is not a single product line on the market, which would combine all the necessary cartridge configurations for working with eyebrows, lips and eyes and also take into account all the characteristics of treatment of each zone.

We always had to look for products from different manufacturers for the PMU artists from our studio, try out various configurations, spend a lot of time testing them, and if the product satisfied us, we would purchase them and work with them.

The cartridge choice issue got even more complicated when we were preparing to launch Hyperrealism, the online course on the hair stroke technique: as if looking for cartridges suitable for hair strokes wasn't enough, we also had to recommend them to other PMU artists, we had to use them to demonstrate the technique. Sometimes the required configurations were not available in stores, so we had to buy their replicas of a much inferior quality.

Each cartridge system seemed to be imperfect, even if just a little. Also, not all PMU artists understand why a particular needle is needed, why in one case it is necessary to work with a medium taper needle, and in the other with a long taper needle, what's all the labeling on the boxes, if one thing is not clear—for which zone and technique use a specific cartridge?

And so the decision was made to create BROVI cartridges.

Trial Batch

In the summer of 2021, a trial batch of 4,000 cartridges was ready, which we tested in our studio and in collaboration with BROVI Pro Team. We shared the results with each PMU artist, identified all the shortcomings and corrected them after tests, before we launched the production of the first batch.

We handed out needles to the Pro Team for a reason—for the most part our permanent makeup artists specialize in a specific area and several techniques. Therefore, "lip makers" mostly tested cartridges for lips, artists specialized in the “Hyperrealism” technique tested cartridges for linear techniques, and artist who work mainly on the eyelid area tested cartridges for eyeliners and lashline filling.

Some of the configurations were not included in the original order and were completely changed. That is what the tests were all about—to achieve a high level of quality, fully satisfy the demand of the PMU artists, enabling them to be unique in their trade.

Advantages

The main advantage of BROVI cartridges is that they were all designed for treatment of specific area and a specific technique. All skin properties in terms of thickness, ease of puncture, elasticity have been thought of for each area—eyebrows, lips and eyelids.

We were looking for solutions to many problems. We thought about how to make the needles pierce the lips to the desired depth and evenly fill them with ink. We were looking for ways to properly use medium and long taper needles for shading and linear techniques, respectively. We thought about how not to fill the blood vessels on the eyelids with ink and not to go beyond the lash line by accident.

All this work resulted in a completely new concept, which has no analogues on the market—one cartridge for each zone and technique. Nothing extra. Everything is simple. All information is right on the package. It is convenient for both beginners and professionals.

Needle Play

Needle play cannot be completely excluded, this is simply impossible. But minimizing it is an achievable task. Not saving on important details is already half way to success. A quality Plunger Guide will significantly affect the stability of the needle in the system. A high quality silicone membrane and its attachment to the tail of the cartridge will reduce the chance of needle play.

Membrane

The new generation membrane and its fastening prevent ink and body fluids from entering the body of the machine. 100% safe.

Ink Flow

Optimal ink flow is ensured by a high-quality nozzle and the design of the cartridge body, namely, two ink supply orifices.

Design

Great attention is paid to design. The matte, lightweight and non-slip body of the cartridges, with comfortable rubber finger rests, make the PMU artist's work even more comfortable, and the branded logos on the colored rubber bands are pleasing to the eye.

The Cartridges have a PTS certificate of conformity for the Russian Federation and the Customs Union countries. Documents can be downloaded from our website or requested from managers on our social media channels.
